Artist Bio
I was born in December 1995 raised in Queens, New York, with my sweet, highly spirited mother and my wiser older brother. I saw his drawings when I was a kid and was like, “Wow!! How’d you do that?” And from then on, I was hooked! My early drawings were Anime based, and I drew as my older brother was the critic telling me all the flaws within my work. Growing up as a kid, I wanted to be an animator making a TV series based on my life-if I had superpowers. I made many stories about space and different arcs, writing them all down. Then I started it…way too hard! Then my teenage years came, and I transitioned the idea to comics. I expanded it drastically, and even made timeskips and stories related to my life as I grew older. I even had a team of friends that I would talk to every week, and we would plan out storyboards, panels, and scripts. Sadly, it was too much work even with a small crew. I underwent dark times after, changing my major 5 times in my college years as a backup for art. Eventually, one day in January 2016, I hit the breaking point and made Doseofrich on Instagram and found my true love-illustration. It was the “Superhero” version of myself. A site where I drew different cultures so people could have a sense of representation, to different things such as movie/anime characters. I would even post inspirational quotes and videos if people felt down. I remade the site in April 2020, wanting to have a fresh start and show off my best content. I aim to be a voice for those who want to be more who they want to be, and for those to love themselves as they are through my art. and my messages.
